Statement of Organizational Commitment
Holmes + Brakel is committed to providing a barrier-free environment for all stakeholders, including clients, employees, job applicants, suppliers, and any visitors who enter the premises, work for the company, access information provided by the company, or use the company’s goods and services.
Holmes + Brakel is committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that maintains their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and will work to meet the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We are determined to remove and prevent any barriers to accessibility as well as meet the requirements under the AODA and Ontario Accessibility laws.
Year 1 (2024):
Post Accessibility Policy & 5 Year Plan on our Website – by March 31.
Convert Website to WCAG 2.0 standard for web accessibility – by March 31.
Review & Modify/Remove Policies that do not promote Accessibility – by June 30th
Annual Training per Policy – New Hires within 1 month of start date. Existing
Employees by December 31.
Year 2 to Year 4 (2025-2027):
Annual Training per Policy – New Hires within 1 month of start date. Existing
Employees by December 31.
Year 5 (2028):
Annual Training per Policy – New Hires within 1 month of start date. Existing
